Epilepsy Foundation Quilt for the Quad Cities

What an amazing journey this quilt is taking. Each block was made from a different person from all over the world. They are 12 inch blocks and there are 30 blocks total. I found out about it through a Swap and Quilt group on Facebook. The quilt is to be raffled off in April at a 5K run. The money that is raised will go towards helping children with Epilepsy get into campPossible.
The tickets are 1 for $5 and 3 for $10
Check out the video here.

My block is the Paper pieced tilted squares with birds in the middle. Once my block was made I asked if they would like me to do the quilting and they said Yes. Once Kristin Myers (the lady in charge of collecting all of the blocks and sewing then together then shipping the quilt to me) sent the quilt to me I got started right away.

Quilting Information:
Thread: Glide, Amethyst, Polyester 40/3
Batting: Provided by Kristin, It was a thin polyester
Design: Full Custom (each blocks character is brought out through its own quilting designs)

Get ready for each block.

  1. This is just beautiful. The blocks by themselves are striking, but add in the distinct quilting on each one and this is a keepsake quilt.
